Death Angel 's debut album , The Ultra-Violence, has been re-released in the Brazilian market. Originally released in 1987, it is now available in major stores in a special edition CD slipcase format.
When they recorded the album, considered one of the classics of thrash metal, none of the band members were older than 20; drummer Andy Galeon was the youngest, at only 14 years old. Guitarist Rob Cavestany, who composed most of the album, was 19. The album is still considered by many fans to be their favorite in Death Angel's discography, which has now released 9 studio albums.
The release was made possible thanks to an initiative by Wikimetal and Oporto, which has been bringing to the Brazilian market monthly several titles that were no longer available, and even some that had never been released in the country before. The new titles join several albums already released through the partnership, from bands such as Rival Sons, Twisted Sister, Heaven & Hell, Metal Church, Deicide , among many others.
The Ultra Violence is now available in major stores and online via Wikimetal Store .
