In her divorce petition, Jenn DeLeo reveals she suffered abuse.
Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo has been accused of domestic violence by his wife, Jenn DeLeo. According to TMZ , she filed for divorce alleging he has been abusing alcohol and drugs, putting their daughter in danger.
Dean and Jenn married in 2012 after a two-year relationship. Documents read by TMZ detail serious incidents that occurred within the family. One of them happened the year they married, when the guitarist took his daughter, who was still a baby at the time, to the ocean while drunk.
She also reported attempted strangulation against her, among other physical abuses, such as violence against her son from another marriage. Psychological abuse was also part of the nightmare Jenn says she lived through. According to her, Dean threatened to kill himself if she left.
This weekend, Jenn took to Twitter to publicly accuse the guitarist. There, she wrote: “I would like to speak to people who have experienced domestic violence. It’s not your fault that you endured it for so long. Please find the strength to leave. When you do, you will see that it feels so good. Sending love to you all.”
TMZ tried to contact Dean DeLeo's lawyer but received no response.
