Guitarist Neal Schon confirmed on social media that Deen Castronovo Journey 's drummer .

The news was confirmed by Schon in a series of comments on a Facebook post about a San Francisco Chronicle on Journey. A fan commented asking, "So Deen Castronovo is back in the band now?", and Schon replied briefly and to the point: "Yes."

Schon also shared a photo on Twitter of two drum sets with the following caption: “Double trouble now Chicago. Narada Michael Walden and the return of Deen Castronovo on drums,” referring to Lollapalooza Chicago which has been taking place since yesterday, July 29th, and will end on August 1st.

Schon  did not reveal how much Castronovo  will participate in Journey's immediate and future commitments.

Castronovo was the drummer for Journey between 1998 and 2015, when he was fired after being arrested on charges of rape, sexual abuse, and assault.
