The musician left Journey in 2015.
The band The Dead Daisies has revealed that Deen Castronovo is their new drummer.
The former Journey member will replace Brian Tichy, who left the band to "pursue new projects .
According to a statement released by the band, Deen is already in Nashville, the hometown of The Dead Daisies, recording the new album.
“We want to thank Brian Tichy (…) We wish him all the best in his future. We can’t wait for you to hear our new album.”
The drummer abused drugs and alcohol and was arrested for domestic violence against his fiancée, which contributed to his dismissal from Journey in 2015.
The Dead Daisies released their last studio album, Make Some Noise , in 2016, and this year they released Live & Louder , their live album.
