DH Peligro , longtime drummer for the Dead Kennedys , passed away last Thursday, October 28th, at the age of 63.
According to a statement released by the band, the musician died after an accidental fall that resulted in a head injury.
“Dead Kennedys drummer DH Peligro ( Darren Henley ) passed away at his home in Los Angeles on October 28th. He died from a head injury sustained in an accidental fall. Any pending arrangements will be announced in the coming days. We appreciate your thoughts and words of comfort,” they wrote.
Peligro had been with the Dead Kennedys since 1981, when he made his debut on the EP In God We Trust . After the band's breakup in 1986, he briefly played drums for the Red Hot Chili Peppers , shortly after drummer Jack Irons . He returned to the Dead Kennedys in 2001.
