David Silveria, former Korn drummer, on reuniting with the band: "You never know."

The musician mentioned some of the reasons why he left the band more than a decade ago.

David Silveria Korn drummer who left the band over a decade ago, was recently asked about the possibility of a reunion with the group for Korn's 30th anniversary in 2023.

David was realistic about the chances of a reunion happening, but maintained a hopeful tone. “Obviously, that would require all of us to talk to each other. At the moment I don’t see that happening, but you never know. You never know,” he said.

Regarding the reasons for his departure, David Silveria mentioned a weightlifting accident he suffered while working out in his garage in 2005. The musician broke four bones in his back when he fell backward and stated that it took him years to heal from the injury.

The other reason, according to him, was a lack of equality within the band. “When we started, we were all members on equal footing, and everything was supposed to be voted on, with everyone having equal weight in all our decisions. And that slowly transformed into a different way of doing things, and I totally disagreed with that,” he commented.

Korn is currently preparing to release their new studio album , Requiem , on February 4th. As a preview, the band released the single "Start The Healing". Check it out:
