It seems that David Gilmour has officially dashed Pink Floyd .
The statement was made in an interview with Guitar Player [via NME ], in which the artist said, “The cycle is over, we’re finished. I’m all for Roger [Waters] doing whatever he wants and having fun.”
“I certainly don’t want to go back,” he continues. “I don’t want to have to go play in stadiums. I’m free to do exactly what I want to do and how I want to do it.”.
Last year, Waters claimed he had been banned from the official Pink Floyd website , stating that Gilmour thinks he owns the band, "I think he thinks that because I left the band in 1985, he owns Pink Floyd, that he is Pink Floyd and I'm irrelevant and should keep my mouth shut."
