The label was where Megadeth got its start
Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has revealed that he will be reopening the famous punk/thrash label Combat Records.
The new version of the label will be the responsibility of the EMP Label and will debut in 2018 with the upcoming album from the band Raven and a limited edition of classic B-sides from Helstar. Both bands began their careers with the label.
Ellefson says that being part of the new Combat Records has great significance for him, as it was through this label that Megadeth became the success it is today.
Combat was one of the biggest record labels of the 1980s, and after numerous changes in management, it closed in the early 2000s. Its catalog was transferred to Sony , the label that will continue to curate the artists.
