David Draiman , vocalist of Disturbed , stated that the band needs a "good, long rest" after the end of their European tour, which was marked by controversy.

Through a post on X last Wednesday, the 29th, the vocalist admitted that he is not sure when his band will return to touring.

“Back home!!! Thank you so much to EVERYONE who made #TheSickness25 a truly memorable tour! Crew, managers, agent, promoters and, ESPECIALLY, my brothers from [Disturbed]. We’re not sure when we’ll be touring again. We all need a good, long rest. Hope to see you when that happens,” the vocalist said in the post.

Disturbed had a show canceled in Belgium by the city's mayor due to vocalist David Draiman on the Gaza conflict, attributed to the fact that David Draiman  autographed bombs that were sent to Israel last year. The Disturbed vocalist, who is Jewish, has been an outspoken supporter of Israel.

Furthermore, according to Metal Injection , pro-Palestinian groups were already preparing to hold a peaceful protest against the concert.

Disturbed responded to the cancellation via a statement on social media, saying that the music “is not about what divides us” and thanking fans for their support. They then staged a protest during their performance at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, where David urged the audience to join him in a show of unity: “The conflicts happening in this world do not define us.”

Controversy surrounding David Draiman

This is not the first time David Draiman has faced the consequences of his actions. The audience greeted the vocalist with many boos during his appearance at Back To The Beginning , Black Sabbath's farewell show.

David Draiman was surprised by the audience's reaction. However, the booing was also attributed to the fact that David Draiman  had autographed bombs that were sent to Israel.

Previously, he called Roger Waters a "monster" and "anti-Semite to the core." Furthermore, in 2022 he stated that he "doesn't give a damn" if Waters alienated people with his pro-Israel stance. Recently, he criticized Green Day after the band changed the lyrics of the song "Palestine" during their recent Coachella performance.
