David Draiman , vocalist of the band Disturbed , made statements regarding the use of artificial intelligence to compose melodies and songs. In a recent interview with the YouTube The Jesea Lee Show , Draiman said (transcribed via Blabbermouth.Net ):
“I think AI will be much more successful at creating things in the pop and EDM style than at creating even adult contemporary things – I mean, by extension, rock. Because there is some science to the structure of music, there is some science in terms of which notes resonate more in the human mind than others, but there is no science to determine that mystical combination of notes that, for whatever reason, this melodic pattern hits you here.”
And he concluded by saying: “You can’t teach that to an artificial intelligence; it can’t learn that… You either have it, or you don’t. And for that reason, I believe I still have a lot of faith in the future. But, yes, the less organic things become, the more cautious I become.”

The use of AI still generates controversy among musicians.
The production of music, lyrics, vocals, and melodies through AI-powered programs is still debated and divides opinions within the music industry. However, some believe it's the future and will use it to their advantage, while others disagree with the influence and believe it to be a danger.
Regarding the matter, Marty Friedman , former guitarist of Megadeth , told the Australian Musician : “There has to be something positive about this. Whether you’re afraid of technology or not, it’s going to be a reality – period.”
However, Brian May of Queen doesn't see the positive side (transcribed via Guitar Player ): “My biggest concern with this right now is in the artistic area… We won’t know what was created by AI and what was created by humans. I really think it could be that serious, and that doesn’t fill me with joy. It makes me apprehensive and I’m preparing myself to be sad about it.”
