David Draiman , vocalist of Disturbed , has spoken again about the band's hiatus, following speculation that the reason for the break was the recent cancellation of a band show and controversies surrounding the vocalist.

Last week, David Draiman used social media to announce that the band would be going on hiatus . Now, the singer has returned to social media and clarified the band's decision to take a break, dismissing any rumors that it has anything to do with controversies involving the group. He wrote:

"To be clear: 1. We are taking a break because we are TIRED, PERIOD. 2. Any media distortion is just that… distortion. We are all doing great and getting along very well. 3. The European tour was the biggest of our career. We played in packed arenas every night. We will do it again someday."

Disturbed had a show canceled in Belgium by the city's mayor due to vocalist David Draiman on the Gaza conflict, attributed to the fact that David Draiman  autographed bombs that were sent to Israel last year. The Disturbed vocalist, who is Jewish, has been an outspoken supporter of Israel.

Controversy surrounding David Draiman

This is not the first time David Draiman has faced the consequences of his actions. The audience greeted the vocalist with many boos during his appearance at Back To The Beginning , Black Sabbath's farewell show.

David Draiman was surprised by the audience's reaction. However, the booing was also attributed to the fact that David Draiman  had autographed bombs that were sent to Israel.

Previously, he called Roger Waters a "monster" and "anti-Semite to the core." Furthermore, in 2022 he stated that he "doesn't give a damn" if Waters alienated people with his pro-Israel stance. Recently, he criticized Green Day after the band changed the lyrics of the song "Palestine" during their recent Coachella performance.
