David Draiman , lead singer of Disturbed , proposed to his girlfriend on the evening of Friday, May 9th.
The proposal happened on stage during the band's show at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, before the start of the second-to-last song on the setlist, "The Light . The show is part of The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour.
David Draiman brought his fiancée Sarah Uli onto the stage, then said into the microphone [transcription via Blabbermouth ]: “Sarah, my love, you have made my life so much better. You are the light in the darkness for me. I love you more than anything I have ever loved in this world, and you would be the absolute pinnacle of my life and my existence.”
Then he took a small box out of his pocket and opened it before kneeling down. The vocalist continued: “Sarah Uli, will you marry me?” Sarah quickly nodded before David stood up and placed the ring from the box on her finger.
David then addressed the crowd: “In case you haven’t heard, she said ‘yes.’ Go ahead and join the rest of your family, darling,” he said to his future wife.
