David Coverdale of Whitesnake got into the Christmas spirit and transformed himself into Santa Claus to wish his fans a Merry Christmas in a video posted on YouTube .
In the message, Coverdale appears in front of a fireplace, wearing red pajamas, a white wig, and even a mask in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is Papa Snake from Whitesnake, wishing you a wonderful Christmas,” says David. “I hope you achieve everything you want. Stay safe, stay warm, stay well, and raise a toast to peace on Earth for all mankind. See you in 2022.”
In October, David Coverdale announced that the upcoming shows with Whitesnake would be his farewell tour . At 70 years old, the singer states that life on the road is very "challenging" most of the time, but that he still has many ideas for the band offstage.
