David Coverdale , lead singer of Whitesnake , has received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He revealed the news himself on social media.

Last Wednesday, the 17th, the 69-year-old musician shared a photo on social media of himself sitting in his car after receiving the vaccine, with the following caption: “I received my first vaccine… Thank you so much to everyone involved… What an INCREDIBLE operation!!!!”

Last month, during an interview with WRIF , the singer revealed that the pandemic forced him to postpone his retirement. He also said that he believes the world will not return to what it was before the pandemic: “I think society has changed. This has been a very difficult period for all of us.”

He also mentioned that he tries to cheer up fans on his social media with spirited and hopeful messages. "I try to keep people happy until I can get back on stage and show my gratitude on tour. And I hope I'll be physically well enough to do that."
