David Coverdale , lead singer of Whitesnake , has announced he will be leaving all social media to fully enjoy his recently announced retirement . The decision marks the end of more than two decades of digital interaction with fans, closing a significant chapter in the 74-year-old singer's career.
The vocalist posted an official statement on his social media . Coverdale said that after more than 20 years connecting with fans online, from old forums to platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, it was time to step away from the screens and focus on his personal life with family and friends. “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, brothers and sisters of the Serpent… After more than 20 years of fun interacting online with all of you Serpent fans, first on the whitesnake.com forum and then on Twitter (good times!), Facebook, Instagram and TikTok… It’s been a fantastic journey, but, along with more than 50 years in the music industry, the time has come for me to step away from social media to reflect on my career and my life and enjoy my retirement with my friends and my beloved family…”

Away from performing live since 2022, David Coverdale released a video on November 13th explaining his decision to retire. According to him, the time to "wrap it up" has arrived.
