David Byrne will release his highly anticipated new album Who Is The Sky? this Friday, September 5th, via Matador Records . The album's latest single, "What Is The Reason For It?", featuring Hayley Williams , was released today.
Marked by the captivating vocal exchange between Byrne and Williams of Paramore, "What Is The Reason For It?" seeks to understand love in a way that logic rarely manages to achieve ( "does it do something useful? / nobody understands it" ).
Born from a creative collaboration between David Byrne and artist Dustin Yellin , the music video for “What Is The Reason For It?” utilizes cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology to animate over 20 original drawings by Byrne. The project reflects Yellin's interest in exploring new technologies to bring still images to life.
