David Bowie will be honored by having a street in Paris named after him.

Mayor Jerome Coumet , a self-confessed fan of the singer, told the French news agency AFP that "Soon there will be a David Bowie Street in the 13th arrondissement of Paris."

He said a new street near the Austrelitz station in southwest France will be named in honor of Bowie.

“Bowie has a strong connection with the city of stars,” said Coumet. “The nomination must be approved by the Paris Assembly in February.” According to him, this will happen without problems.
