David Bowie has been immortalized in a new wax statue at Madame Tussauds, which will be displayed at the London museum to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the artist's birth.
According to Far Out Magazine , the depiction of the musician during the Ziggy Stardust era in 1983 was created in partnership with Bowie's estate and is displayed alongside the first statue created in homage to the British artist, also on display at the London museum.
“David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust transcends generations and musical genres,” commented Tim Waters , general manager of the museum. “We were honored to (…) play our small part in keeping his unparalleled legacy alive for future generations.”
The statue is located in the Music Festival area of the museum and is open for visitation starting this Friday, the 1st.
