Dave Riley , bassist for the punk band Big Black , has died at the age of 59.
The musician appeared on both albums by the band led by iconic producer Steve Albini ( Nirvana, Jawbreaker, Superchunk ): Atomizer from 1986 and Songs About Fucking from 1987.
Riley also worked as an audio engineer on albums by Parliament and George Clinton 's Funkadelic .
Dave Riley died of throat cancer.
