Dave Navarro reveals he has already planned the details of his suicide

The guitarist suffers from depression and has always been open about his difficulties

Dave Navarro has been through difficult times and believes his struggle can be used to help others going through the same situation. Last Saturday, the 9th, the Jane's Addiction posted a long message on Instagram where he talks about his difficulties, revealing that he had planned the details of a suicide.

The message came after a difficult week in which famous fashion designer Kate Spade and television presenter Anthony Bourdain committed suicide. In the post, he added a link to the United States Suicide Prevention

“I can’t speak for other people’s thoughts and actions, but I can speak for my own experience. I’ve been there, I even wrote ‘the suicide note,’ made the plan, stocked up on medication, thought about how to divide my possessions with my family. I was ready to leave. Luckily, as a last resort, I sought help. I went to therapy and sometimes to psychiatrists, alternative medicine, and even went to a hospital. Anything that was necessary. What I learned is that through the process, circumstances and feelings change. As the tide comes and goes, the universe takes on many forms and constantly evolves. We are made of the same stuff. We are constantly changing, evolving, and flowing… sometimes frighteningly, sometimes beautifully, sometimes lonely, sometimes with help. Allow the process and the forms to change. I can tell you with 100% certainty that they do. Please seek help if you find yourself in darkness. There is no darkness without light. Try to be open to letting it find you.”

In Brazil, we have the Center for Life Appreciation (Centro de Valorização da Vida) which aims to help people going through difficult times. There, you can find help 24 hours a day with complete confidentiality. Click here to learn more.
