In an interview with Fox News, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine spoke about what differentiates mediocre bands from great bands:
“There are many people who play music but don’t have the gift. You see bands that are formed from various groups. Sometimes there are many people who play music but there isn’t a musician. Or you have several people who play music and one musician. And so it goes, several musicians and a star. Or, in our case, where there are several stars and someone like me, who is a living legend. And I don’t say that because I believe in it, but because of my status, these things. It’s like, having a lot of stars and a superstar, that changes things. Not only do people listen in a different way, but you also have many more opportunities to reach people and change their lives.”
