Electra , daughter of Dave Mustaine , is forging her own musical career in pop . With over 140,000 followers on Instagram, the singer fulfilled a request to sing a Brazilian song and surprised everyone with a cover of Vanessa da Mata .
The recommendation of the song "Boa Sorte (Good Luck)," a collaboration between Vanessa and Ben Harper , was made by the Brazilian guitarist from Megadeth. "Here's one that Kiko Loureiro taught me! Vanessa da Mata is incredible," he wrote in the caption.
Despite the American accent, the result was incredible, with a performance full of feeling. "I tried my best," commented Electra Mustaine about the pronunciation of the words in Portuguese.
