The new album may be released in 2019
Megadeth already has plans for their new album. According to frontman Dave Mustaine's official Twitter account, the band will return to the studio in the second half of 2018.
There, Mustaine was asked about the progress of the new album and he revealed that the band hasn't started recording yet, "I'm putting ideas together just like I did with Dystopia ," he said.
In another tweet, where a fan asked when Megadeth would return to the studio, he replied: “I’m in the studio all the time. You mean for the new album? Probably mid-2018.”
The successor to Dystopia will be the band's first album with drummer Dirk Verbeuren, who joined Megadeth over a year ago. For Brazilian drummer Kiko Loureiro, this will be his second album with the band.
