Metallica's No Life 'Til Leather was recorded in 1982.

Dave Mustaine says the previously announced expanded version of Metallica's 1982 demo, No Life 'Til Leather, has been indefinitely shelved because he's unwilling to give Lars Ulrich "credit for something that not only did" the Metallica "not do, but was incapable of doing."

“I’m not going to give [Lars] my credit, so I’m not going to be a part of it. I wrote ‘Mechanix,’ I wrote ‘Jump In The Fire,’ so if I give any percentage of that to Lars Ulrich, he can just throw sand. About ‘Phantom Lord,’ I wrote all the notes for that song, James [Hetfield, Metallica frontman] wrote the lyrics. That’s 50/50. If James wants to give his percentage to Lars because he’s afraid of him, that’s his business. I’m not afraid of Lars Ulrich, and I’m not giving him my percentage. And the same thing with ‘Metal Militia.’ […] Now, looking at the past [editor’s note: apparently referring to Metallica’s debut album, which features re-recorded versions of songs from ‘No Life ‘Til Leather’] – everyone knows this – and the past is the past. But I couldn’t come to a new agreement with these guys with Lars getting credit for something that not only did he not do, but he was incapable of doing – he was incapable of writing.” "Such good music back then."

Asked if this means there will never be another Big 4 show, Mustaine said: “I don’t know about that. This has nothing to do with the ‘Big Four’. I think Lars is just afraid to play with Megadeth.”
