"We're not going to do a Lulu ," said the Megadeth frontman.

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine spoke about introducing different rhythms into Megadeth's music in a recent interview with Jamey Jasta. When asked if he had ever considered doing a hip-hop collaboration, he said "never".

“I would never do that to Megadeth. I don’t care when it’s on someone else’s record, but Megadeth has stayed pure for a reason.”

The musician continued his argument by criticizing Lulu , the album Metallica made in partnership with Lou Reed in 2011. "We're not going to do a Lulu, we're not going to do mash-ups, or anything like that. We're going to keep experimenting just the four of us."

In another statement , instead of offering criticism, Mustaine brought back memories. He recalled the moment he wrote the riff for the track "The Four Horsemen" – also known by its original version "The Mechanix" – during his time with Metallica.

Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica in 1983, and although he revealed that he harbored some resentment towards the band for a while, today he confesses that the feud and competition between the two groups and their members is an "illusion."
