In an interview with The Windsor Star website, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine was asked if he sees himself retiring from metal or touring at some point. Mustaine replied:
"I can see myself putting more time between shows, but retiring from Metal? Not at all. I think it's part of my DNA.".
I still want to be involved at some level, whether as an executive, as a producer, someone who is helping or managing other bands.
I'm a Grammy curator now, I'm starting a new phase in my life – being a music ambassador, being able to pass on my experience to others. For me, this is as rewarding as winning awards.”
Asked what keeps the flame burning for him, Mustaine said: “I think it’s being true to myself. If you do something because you love it so much, you don’t compromise on it.”
