A few months ago , Dave Mustaine Megadeth tour dates , including some that were scheduled to take place in Brazil.
Now, according to bassist David Ellefson , the vocalist has finished treatment for the illness and is in the final stages of recovery. The news was revealed during an interview with Lambgoat : "We are hopeful and optimistic about his full recovery."
“Once he finishes this process, we’ll let him have all the time he needs, and then we’ll continue with the album. I’m hopeful that in 2020 we’ll release a new album.” Expectations for Mustaine’s recovery are so high that Megadeth confirmed they will be touring in 2020 with Five Finger Death Punch .
“Sometimes life deals you unexpected cards. Like Megadeth, we’ve always been a resilient band and we’ve always worked through the obstacles. Dave is a warrior, as we know. Just talking to him, he seems very optimistic about the future of Megadeth.”
