Dave Mustaine , vocalist and guitarist of Megadeth , has reached another milestone offstage. At 64 years old, the musician has officially been promoted to black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The achievement took place under the supervision of his teacher and was publicly celebrated by Mustaine himself, who highlighted the significance of the moment after years of intense dedication to the martial art. In a photo shared by them, Mustaine poses alongside his instructor Reginaldo Almeida , a third-degree black belt.

The Megadeth frontman has been practicing Jiu-Jitsu since 2012, a period in which he began seeking activities that would strengthen both his body and mind, especially after facing physical challenges throughout his career.

In recent statements, Dave Mustaine emphasized that jiu-jitsu has become an essential tool for maintaining health, psychological balance, and longevity in a career marked by exhausting tours and constant pressure.
