Mustaine posted on Twitter
After numerous rumors that guitarist Kiko Loureiro would be fired from Megadeth, band leader Dave Mustaine posted a series of tweets stating that there was no falling out, and that the guitarist remains firmly in the band.
In his latest post on his official Twitter account, Mustaine says: “News! Kiko Loureiro is 100% in Megadeth. The websites and sources saying he left are false and unreliable .” Regarding the rumor that guitarist Marty Friedman would return to the band, Mustaine posted: “I love Marty too, but I’ve never been happier than I am since I met Kiko Loureiro. He’s with his wife having twins now. Pray for them!”
Dave Mustaine also responded to several tweets directed at him, questioning Loureiro's departure. To some, Mustaine simply said "No" .
The rumors started after a screenshot of Kiko Loureiro's Instagram account surfaced, which, according to the blog Rust In Page, showed him having removed the phrase "Megadeth's lead guitarist" from his bio.
