The band never won
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has commented on the Grammy nomination announced this week by the institution's official list. The band is nominated for the title track from their latest album, "Dystopia," in the Best Metal Performance category. See Dave's statement below:
"The last time we were nominated, I was at the awards show talking to Kenny G, and I said that we'd been nominated several times but hadn't won yet. He said, 'Don't feel bad, it took me 21 years to win my first one!'"
This has been an incredible year for Megadeth. With so many milestones, so many individual and group awards, to have this honor now is the grand finale to a perfect campaign.

Megadeth has been nominated 11 times but has never received the award.
