On his Facebook page , Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine asked fans to suggest names for a guest vocalist to record with.
The vocalist has already received over 3,000 responses, most suggesting James Hetfield, Joey Belladonna, and Phil Anselmo.
Megadeth has been recording their next album for the past few months. The band has already finished recording and the CD is in the mixing process, leaving doubts as to whether the guest singer would be part of this project or something separate.
Bassist Dave Ellefson said the sound of the new album is reminiscent of Megadeth's early days. The CD does not yet have a release date.
