The frontman already has plans for a possible reunion
The last Big 4 show, featuring the thrash metal giants Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax, took place in September 2011, and since the announcement that Slayer will be ending their activities, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has spoken openly about his desire to reunite the bands one last time.
During an interview with Eddie Trunk, Mustaine revealed that he already has some ideas for the shows: “If you ask the three of us [Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax], we’d probably all say yes (…) If they want to do it and Metallica doesn’t, then we can do a… Big 3?”.
“I’m sure people would like to see that. And that’s it, maybe we could do a Big 3 plus Exodus ,” he continues.
He concludes by saying that he would love for Metallica to be part of the shows, but only if all the bands were treated equally, "If everyone plays together and everyone has the same amount of time to play, with the stage in the same conditions... But I don't think that will happen."
