In an interview with host Jimmy Kimmel on The Tonight Show , Dave Grohl spoke about his friendship with the two remaining members of the Beatles , Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney .

Grohl recently interviewed Ringo Starr for his documentary What Drives Us about the time the Beatles rode together in a van. "I heard stories about the Beatles farting," the Foo Fighters .

In the conversation, Dave also spoke a bit about his friendship with Paul McCartney and recalled the time when the musician and his wife, Nancy , visited Grohl and his family after the birth of their daughter, Ophelia .

“The first thing I did was hide everything I had that was Beatles-related,” said Dave. “You never know how much Beatles stuff you have until one of them comes to visit. And Paul sat down at the piano and started playing 'Lady Madonna,' and my daughter, Harper , who was 4 years old at the time, went into the kitchen, got a mug, put a coin in it, and placed it on the piano like a tip jar.”

In the same interview, Dave Grohl also talked about when he decided to take his mother on tour with the Foo Fighters and recalled how much fun she had. "I'd come off stage asking 'Where's my mom?' and she'd be upstairs drinking beer with Green Day ."
