Dave Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin have launched the 2021 edition of the Hanukkah Sessions , which celebrates Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights that lasts eight days, this year between December 10th and 18th.

After releasing a thrash metal-tinged version of Lisa Loeb – shown below – Grohl, who is not Jewish, and Kurstin, who is, released a cover of "Blietzkrieg Bop" by the Ramones .

In the video description, which you can check out below, they wrote: “Once upon a time there were two nice Jewish boys from Queens, named Jeffery Hyman and Thomas Erdelyi , [who] changed the world forever with their music… as Joey and Tommy Ramone ! GABBAI GABBAI HEY! Ladies and gentlemen… it’s the Ramones! Blitzkrieg Bop.”
