In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live released this Wednesday, the 28th, Dave Grohl delivered a performance led by the impressive vocals of his 15-year-old daughter, Violet . The young girl took the microphone while her father played guitar, accompanied by Krist Novoselic , former bassist of Nirvana , and Dave Lombardo , former drummer of Slayer .

The quartet performed a cover of the song "Nausea" by X , along with producer Greg Kurstin , but despite the impressive collaboration, it was Violet who stole the show with her powerful voice.

"Nausea" is part of the soundtrack for the documentary directed by Dave Grohl, What Drives Us , which premieres this Friday, April 30th, and had previously been released in a studio version .

According to Grohl, the documentary is his "love letter to every musician who ever jumped into an old van with their friends and left everything behind for the simple reward of playing music." The film recently got a new trailer , which shows that it will be packed with illustrious appearances, such as Ringo Starr , Slash , and Brian Johnson, among many others.

In addition to being rich in interviews, What Drives Us also promises rare footage of classic concerts and can be considered a tribute to those who dream of making a living from music. In Brazil, the documentary will be available via Amazon Prime.
