Dave Grohl recalls hilarious trip to Pantera's strip club

"Did you lose your wallet in Barstow in 1998?"

Ready for another chapter of Dave Grohl ?

Yesterday, the 30th, the Foo Fighters ' posted on his official Instagram Stories profile a turbulent and comical trip alongside the band's drummer, Taylor Hawkins , to visit none other than the strip club run by Pantera in 1998. Obviously, this story was going to generate buzz.

Dave Grohl recounts that Foo Fighters and Pantera became friends at Ozzfest in 1998, where the Fighters stepped in to replace Korn. Grohl highlighted their nervousness about performing after the legends, and the friendliness and kindness of the Pantera members: “It didn’t matter who you were, where you were from, they would make you feel welcome, put a beer in your hand, a shot in your mouth, and make you laugh harder than ever before (until you ended up throwing it all up and having the most soul-crushing hangover of your life the next morning).”

Taylor and Dave embarked on a trip to Pantera's strip club in Dallas, Texas, after an invitation from the band, who suggested they drop by whenever they happened to be nearby. The Foo Fighters duo saw an opportunity for this, as Grohl was moving back to his hometown in Virginia, which was (more or less) near the Texas capital.

The story can be summarized as a behind-the-scenes drama filled with tension, numerous shots of the Panther, and a frustrating trip marked by lost wallets that were only found ten years later.
