Dave Grohl: Listen to a rare song from one of the musician's first bands

The track was recorded in 1985 by the band Mission Impossible, with Dave Grohl on drums

As a teenager, before Nirvana , Dave Grohl was part of the punk band Scream , but what few people know is that before that, the musician had another band: Mission Impossible .

The group, also punk, was formed in the 80s and had Grohl on drums. Now, a rare Mission Impossible track, recorded in 1985, has been released. “Now I'm Alone” will be part of the soundtrack for the documentary Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC , and was released by the director himself, Scott Crawford.

“Mission Impossible was an incredible live band, despite its short lifespan,” says the director, “I went to several of their rehearsals in Virginia and just sat there watching them go crazy. They were all excellent musicians, and watching Dave on drums was always a thrill.”
