Dave Grohl revealed that he has thought about and wanted to stop touring with the Foo Fighters a few times, but, of course, always changed his mind in the end.

The outburst came during an interview he gave to Brian Johnson for a Sky Arts (via NME ): “After being on the road for a year and a half, I always come home from tour and say I’m never doing this again. I always say that was the last time.”

Grohl also mentioned that his friends never believe he'll actually stop touring and say the idea is nonsense.

Despite mentioning his recurring desire, the singer himself admitted that he can't stay still for very long and always ends up preferring to go back to work: "After a month and a half I'm already with a guitar in my lap, writing new songs and calling the guys in the band talking about recording a new album."
