Documentary will show Dave Grohl playing 7 different instruments
Dave Grohl , vocalist and guitarist of the Foo Fighters , will release the documentary Play , where he plays a 23-minute song on seven different instruments.
The documentary will be in two parts and will be released on August 10th to show "the rewards and challenges of dedicating your life to playing and mastering a musical instrument".
“Seeing my kids start playing, learning to sing or play drums, it takes me back to when I was their age listening to albums, learning… and when I take my kids to music lessons, I see these rooms full of kids who are really putting in the effort to figure it out,” Grohl said.
“And even now, at 49, I’m still trying to figure it out…it’s not something you truly master. You’re always looking for the next challenge and always trying to find a way to improve what you’ve learned.”
The project will also include a list of NGOs that accept time, money, and instruments to continue teaching music.
