In a new interview with Vulture , Dave Grohl was asked about the lawsuit filed against Nirvana by Spencer Elden , the famous baby from the cover of the album Nevermind . Now an adult, Elden alleges that his nude photo constitutes child sexual exploitation, placing the child in the position of "a sex worker, struggling for a dollar bill."
Grohl was quite succinct in his response, but made his position clear. “I don’t know if I can talk about that because I don’t spend much time thinking about it. I feel the same way most people do; I have to disagree. That’s all I’m going to say,” he replied.
Interviewer Craig Jenkins Nevermind cover photo several times as an adult – most recently at age 25. “Look, he has a Nevermind . I don’t,” replied Dave Grohl.
Recently, Elden also filed a request to have the image of his genitalia removed from the cover of the 30th anniversary reissue of the album, to which Dave Grohl responded that he had "many ideas" for the change.
