Megadeth bassist David Ellefson spoke in an interview with an American radio station about how it feels to have won a Grammy after so many years of nominations. The musician was asked if he thought he would win:

“You always think there’s a chance. I think the fact that you’re invited is already huge, because out of all the people who released music, they select five or six artists as guests. I think the biggest thing is when you’re sitting there and they say, ‘And the Grammy goes to…’. That moment, right there, is very euphoric and you think, ‘Oh my God, they can really say our name now.’ In recent years, of which I’ve been to four so far, they’ve said, ‘And the Grammy goes to… not you.’ It’s a moment when you think, ‘Wow, all this, coming here, the excitement, the releases, the press, the trip, the suit, the limousine… It all goes away in that moment.’ This last one was much better because they said, ‘And the Grammy goes to ‘Dystopia,’ Megadeth.’ We’re on cloud nine with all of this.”
