The band Daughtry has postponed the dates of their current tour with Alter Bridge following the sudden death of the lead singer, Chris Daughtry's , stepdaughter at the age of 25.
Hannah the young daughter from Deanna Daughtry (Deanna Daughtry being the vocalist's wife since 2000), was found dead in her home last Friday, the 12th. The cause of death has not yet been released, but the family has stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of death.
“My first daughter. I love you infinitely, Hannah. Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we mourn the loss of our daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken,” Deanna wrote on social media.
The singer also shared a statement about the young woman's passing. “I’m still processing the last 24 hours. I’m absolutely devastated and heartbroken. I recently lost my mother to cancer, but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and was processing that privately. We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and this is another huge blow to our family,” he lamented. “Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time to be present with my family as we try to heal from this devastating loss. Hannah, I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hug you. This hurts so deeply.”
