Mario Linhares was 45 years old
Mario Linhares, leader of the Dark Avenger from Brasília, passed away this Friday, according to a source close to the family, due to pulmonary edema.
Originally from Fortaleza, Mario Linhares formed Dark Avenger in 1990 and achieved great recognition with the release of "Tales of Avalon: The Terror" in 2001.
Rafael Masini from Wikimetal posted on his Facebook :
"In March 2014, I interviewed a vocalist who was passionate about the band and about Metal. A warrior who won the fight against cancer.".
At the time, it was the release of a powerful album from a band that was also proud to represent Brasília in our music scene.
That same month I was able to watch and photograph the energetic and vibrant show at the Clash Club.
Today I received the news that we will no longer have the voice of Mario Linhares from Dark Avenger.
"Once again, the national metal scene is in mourning and respect.".
