Gene Hoglan , drummer for Dark Angel – one of the acts at Bangers Open Air – commented on his band's new album.

Recently, the group played two tracks from the material at a show in Chile: the title track – whose single will be released on April 11th, a teaser of which was previously released – and "Circular Firing Squad".

Extinction Level Event will be the first release of new material in 34 years and is scheduled for release in late 2025 by Reversed Records.

Everblack podcast [via Blabbermouth ], Hoglan said that the successor to Leave Scars (1989) “is quite fierce”. He also said he was “excited” and that they are close to finalizing the process.

“It’s a really fierce album. I’m excited about it. It took a long time to come out, but now that we’re getting closer to the release, the process is nearing its end. So, everyone keep an eye out.”

“We just released the album cover last week, and when we have something concrete, like 'here's the release date,' we'll be able to share it with everyone. Pay attention to our social media and everything else, and there will be a release date. The expectation is for 2025, so before December 31st, Dark Angel will release their new album.”
