Singer and songwriter Daniel Lima lyric video this Wednesday, the 10th . The song is the first preview of his newest EP, which will be released later in 2021.
Speaking about the song, Lima explained: “The song's theme revolves around the exacerbated polarization we live in today's world. The polarization of opinions, beliefs, and the ostentatious display of ideologies, in a way that, for me, isn't very different from other ostentatious displays and fads. And in the end, what seems so opposite to one another becomes the same thing, making the same mistakes, running the same risks.”
The song, which was partly inspired by the works of the legendary George Harrison, is also significant for Lima because of its production, entirely handled by him, in addition to him playing all the instruments on the track. But the pandemic wasn't the only reason the song and the new EP were created this way. “At the beginning of 2021 I lost my friend and drummer, Julian,” he reveals. “He had been very important in the creation of my music and also in live performances. Faced with the shock of this loss, my instinct led me to take on all the production and instrumental performance.”
The EP will feature sounds ranging from folk, pop, and grunge to even country and western . "This EP is a cry for serenity. The main message is to use the time we've been given constructively, rethinking, reevaluating, giving new meaning, and being reborn."
