The album was made in collaboration with Dave Mustaine
Red Lamb, the new band of Dan Spitz, former guitarist of Anthrax, was formed by Spitz to raise awareness about the issues surrounding autism.
Spitz is the father of twins who suffer from the disease, and says that the band has this greater purpose: "I want people to know the difficulties we go through."
Regarding a possible return to Anthrax after Caggiano's departure, the guitarist said he needs to focus on the new project now: "Anthrax is in my blood and I love them. But I have to do this for myself, for humanity, for my family.".
Spitz worked with Dave Mustaine on the composition and production of all the songs on the first album. Spitz said the album is “a little bit Dave, a little bit me, and 20% is the sound of the future of music that we created”.
