Dan Nelson , former lead singer of Anthrax , was arrested after assaulting a 74-year-old man at Aloft New York LaGuardia Airport in Queens on August 30th. Last Wednesday, the 11th, he turned himself in.

According to the New York Post , Nelson punched the man several times, for no apparent reason. A relative of the victim said the man had asked the vocalist questions, which angered him. Nothing has been confirmed.

The musician was in Anthrax between 2007 and 2009 after Joey Belladonna , who is now in the group. Although Nelson did not record any albums with the band, he was credited on some songs from Worship Music (2011).

In 2012, the vocalist sued Anthrax for US$2.65 million, claiming they were owed profits from the project after he had written some of the material.
