The lead singer of the Italian band Måneskin , Damiano David , announced on his social media the release of his solo project with the single "Silverlines," which will be available on streaming platforms this Friday, the 27th.

The solo track, to be released by David, is a collaboration with English composer, producer, and singer Labrinth , who was in charge of the entire production of the single and the aesthetic of this new phase of his career.

With a series of posts on his social media, the singer surprised fans by announcing his solo career project. For David, this new milestone in his career indicates a more intimate approach that couldn't be explored while fronting the famous Italian hard rock band ( via Rolling Stone ) .

“I traveled the world to find my voice, to end up where it all began. My name is Damiano David, and today is the first day of my life,” declared the Italian. 

Suspicions surrounding the end of Måneskin 

Following the announcement of David's solo career, speculation from fans about a possible hiatus in the band's activities increased. The rumors started when Victoria de Angelis , bassist of Måneskin, launched her side musical project , featuring Brazilian singer Anitta .

In December 2023, Damiano hinted at his interest in pursuing a solo project. In an interview on The Allison Hagendorf Show , the singer stated that going solo could be healthy for him and the group. He also gratefully acknowledged his bandmates: “Everything was thanks to the band. This is my foundation and where I come from. These are three people who have always supported me. If I mess up, they will save me” ( via RadioRock ).

In an interview with NME , when asked about the future of Måneskin, Damiano stated that nothing will change: "We're just going to work on other things." De Angelis also took the opportunity to reinforce this: "We just finished a tour and it will be amazing to have a moment of relaxation now. But, of course, we're not going to break up."
