Vocalist and bassist Fernanda Lira , leader of the band Crypta , suffered a severe stomach upset during their current European tour and sought hospital treatment.
The band itself released the information on social media this Thursday (8), after the show in Audincourt, France, at the traditional Le Moloco venue, took place without the presence of the frontwoman.
According to an official statement, Fernanda needed intravenous medication and hydration. Although she is recovering and under medical care, her health condition did not allow her to go on stage. Out of respect for their French fans, the band chose to keep the show, adapting to perform as a trio.
"Fernanda's health is our priority, but we decided to go ahead with the show so as not to disappoint those who have been waiting for us for so long," the band stated in the post.
Despite the absence of the vocalist, the band recorded the performance and shared a clip with fans — the video shows that, even in the face of adverse circumstances, the reduced lineup maintained the energy on stage.
The good news is that Fernanda Lira is already showing improvement, as previously reported, and her concert schedule will continue as normal in the coming days, provided her condition progresses positively.
