The debut of Crypta , a Brazilian/Dutch death metal quartet, officially arrived this Friday, the 11th, with the album Echoes of the Soul .
Formed in June 2019 and announced only the following year, the band marks a new phase in the careers of former Nervosa Fernanda Lira and Luana Dametto , in partnership with guitarists Sonia Anubis , a member of Burning Witches and Cobra Spell , and Tainá Bergamaschei , former guitarist of Hagbard .
Following the release of the singles “From The Ashes” and “Dark Night of the Soul”, Crypta demonstrates a balance between “rawness and refinement”, as Fernanda defined it in an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour, throughout the 10 tracks of brutality and relentless energy of striking vocals and solos.
The band is already Wacken Open Air festival , which returns in person in the second half of 2022, alongside bands such as Judas Priest , Limp Bizkit , As I Lay Dying , Lacuna Coil , Gwar , Thundermother and Avantasia in the lineup.
